Updated information for 2018 Kino Sports Complex Show Coming Soon!
It has just been decided that our show needs to be permitted through the City of Tucson, not Pima County. All tents 400 sq feet and more (20'x20') now require permits. Many other activities may also require permits. If you are renting your tent through the show or an outside vendor, they will get the required permit and include it with the price of the tent. If you are using your own tent, you are responsible for obtaining the permit.
Please pay close attention to the information in the links below. If you have your own tent, it must be "flameproof" and have the required certification that it is "flameproof". The Tucson Fire Department is taking all of this very seriously this year. I would highly recommend renting a tent from an outside vendor that is knowledgeable in all Tucson fire regulations.

AMENDMENTS TO THE CITY OF TUCSON 2012 FIRE CODE MODIFICATIONS CHAPTER 1 ADMINISTRATION SECTION 105 PERMITS Section 105 Permits. Is hereby AMENDED by ADDING the following:
***You WILL be expected to have, AND pay for, permits for your tents prior to setting up, and FIRE Department inspection approval beforeloading in. ***
NOTE: ANY RE-INSPECTIONS WILL BE CHARGED an additional fee.
This is new, and so please take note so as to not incur extra costs.
Also special Operational Permits are also required for hot work, and other items listed on the application on the website.
